Your school can help by organising fundraising activities throughout the year. For example, you could promote your own pop concert, organise a sports day or turn your Christmas concert into a fundraising opportunity. You could ask your teachers if you can be sponsored to hold a non-uniform day or a more adventurous dress outrageously day!
Many schools adopt Acorns for a year of fundraising and their enthusiasm has been fantastic. We often provide speakers who will visit your school and talk about the work we do.
Other schools collect stock for Acorns’ shops. We’ll supply some brightly coloured stock bags that everyone can take home and fill with good quality items like clothes, books, CDs, toys and videos.
Once you have collected the bags, Acorns will pick them up from your school and distribute them to our chain of shops. Collecting stock is a valuable contribution to the charity – each bag is worth on average £15.
To find out more about how your school can help or to register your event, please call our fundraising team on 01564 825000 or email: supportercare@acorns.org.uk .
If you are based in Worcestershire, Herefordshire or Gloucestershire please call our Three Counties fundraising team on 01905 761 220 or email: fund43@acorns.org.uk
Acorns also provide collecting boxes which are a great way for young people to collect spare change to donate to Acorns. Click here to email and request a home collecting box.
We are more than happy to visit schools and take part in lessons or give assemblies. Please call our Fundraising Team to request a visit on 01564 825000.
