We have three specialist children’s hospices serving the West Midlands region. The hospices are beautiful home-from-home environments where the children can stay for short breaks and receive essential nursing care in comfortable surroundings. Families can also stay at each hospice as they have specially designed family flats. Our hospices are: Acorns in Birmingham (located in Selly Oak), Acorns in the Black Country (located in Walsall) and Acorns in the Three Counties (located in Worcester). Emergency and end-of-life care is also offered in special family suites that give families their privacy at the most difficult times. Our designated Community Team gives 24-hour practical and emotional support in the home to the whole family at every stage of the child’s life. Help is also available for parents, siblings and grandparents, and we provide bereavement support for however long it’s needed.
