Are you thinking about getting fit? Perhaps you're already a runner? Take a look at the variety of running events below that you can take part in in 2012 to raise much needed funds for Acorns Children's Hospice. Please remember that we are only able to secure a limited number of places in these runs so if you can secure your own place in these or any other running events please consider doing so that we can make our places go further. We’d love you to join our team and we offer all our runners support with training and fundraising. Silverstone Half Marathon, Sunday 11th March. Places now available for this half marathon - the official warm-up for the London Marathon. Paris Marathon, Sunday 15th April 2012. Join the Acorns team and see the sights of Paris in one of Europe's biggest running events. London Marathon, 2013. The Acorns ballot is now OPEN for the 2013 Virgin London Marathon. Acorns Triple Run, Sunday 24th June 2012. Choose your distance from a 1km fun run, 5km fun run or a half marathon! Shenstone Fun Run Sunday 1st July 2012 British 10k London Run, Sunday 8th July 2012. Run 10km through the streets of London and test out parts of the Olympic marathon route! Places still available! Great North Run, Newcastle, Sunday 16th September 2012. All of our places have now been allocated. If you have your own place we would love you to support Acorns! Bupa Great Birmingham Run, Sunday 21st October 2012. Our local half marathon! Please support Acorns by joining our team Great South Run, Portsmouth, Sunday 30th October
