Skydive

Dare to do something different? Take an exhilarating 10,000ft tandem skydive!

Saturday 2nd June & Sunday 2nd September 2012

Hinton Airfield, Brackley, Northamptonshire

Imagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet – the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears with only the distant field below. Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go – falling forward through the air as you start freefalling at over 120mph! Then imagine the peace and quiet as the canopy opens, your fall slows and you gently return to earth. Are you up for the challenge?

Technically the jump is called a “Tandem Skydive” because you will freefall through the air (without the parachute deployed) for several thousand feet harnessed to a professional parachute instructor. This is the only way you can jump from such an altitude without spending thousands of pounds becoming a freefall parachutist; so this really is a chance of a lifetime!

The event takes place at Hinton Airfield in Northamptonshire. Jumpers are encouraged to bring friends and family along to spectate and enjoy a picnic in the fields!

Participants are required to raise a minimum sponsorship of £450.  £450 covers the cost of the jump at £200 per person and raises £250 for Acorns Children's Hospice.
