Commitment to staff exchange

Acorns is committed to enabling staff exchanges with other organisations.

Staff exchanges provide many benefits to the organisation and to its employees.  It is a means to broadening ones experiences and the organisations capability.

Staff exchanges build relationships between Acorns Children’s Hospice and other service providers, for instance, these could be hospitals or other hospices. There are many organisations where exchanges would be appropriate.

There is an opportunity to transfer skills and knowledge, to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and knowhow and to share best practice.  Staff exchange can help build capacity by working together to achieve greater results through combined and co-ordinated effort.

For staff, exchanges bring career development, learning and widening horizons, stepping out from their comfort zones and testing their skills.  It allows individuals to make new and interesting relationships with other professionals. Staff feel motivated and invigorated through new experiences and environments. Exchanges give opportunity to reflect and re-evaluate your own main job and help develop insights and cultural perspectives of other organisations.

Acorns is committed to enabling staff exchanges with other organisations, together we can share, learn and grow.
