Fundraising ideas

See which of these ideas takes your fancy! Running for Acorns

Lets get fundraising in 2012!

2012 is a significant year in terms of Great British events. The London Olympics is drawing every sporting nation to our shores and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee promises to be a global spectacle bigger than the royal wedding. What better time to make big things happen than now, starting by raising money for Acorns!

We are determined to make this year our biggest yet as we start the approach to our own anniversary in 2013 - 25 years of helping the children we care for. Now is the time to make a difference to local families but we can’t do it without you, so to help get the creative ideas going, here are a few suggestions to get the ball rolling.

Hint: Raise sponsorship online
If you are taking part in a sponsored event, one of the most popular ways to collect sponsorship is via the Justgiving website: www.justgiving.com. This website allows you to easily set up your own fundraising webpage where people can find information on you, your chosen charity and the activity that you are participating in. They can then sponsor you directly by in putting their bank card details, the money is automatically transferred into Acorns bank account so you don’t need to chase around collecting money! The website tracks all donations made to you and keeps a running total.
