The care we provide

Acorns Children's Hospice offers a network of specialist palliative care and support to children and young people who have life limiting or life threatening illnesses, and their families. In the last year Acorns has supported over 700 children and more than 1,050 families, including those who are bereaved.

Services are offered at three regional children’s hospices and through a Community Team who offer support at home. Our hospices are:

Acorns in Birmingham (located in Selly Oak),
Acorns in the Black Country (located in Walsall) and
Acorns for the Three Counties (located in Worcester).

Children and young people can stay at the hospices for short breaks, emergency and end of life care. The Community Team gives support to the family 24 hours a day, every day of the year. There is no charge to families for using Acorns services.

For more information, please select an option from the left hand navigation to view further details about our care services for families/carers, children & young people and healthcare professionals.
