You can fundraise

Your school, college or university can really make a difference to the lives of children being cared for at Acorns, as well as being a very positive learning experience for all involved.

How your school can help

Your school can help by organising fundraising activities throughout the year. For example:-

  • Organise a muscial show/concert and sell the tickets and refreshments to in aid of Acorns
  • Do a sponsored swim, walk or run. Maybe even do a sports day donating all the proceeds.
  • You could ask your teachers if you can be sponsored to hold a non-uniform day or a more adventurous dress outrageously day!
  • Get your friends and classmates to save spare change, collect it all up at the end of the week or month and donate it to Acorns.

Many schools adopt Acorns for a year of fundraising and their enthusiasm has been fantastic. We often provide speakers who will visit your school and talk about the work we do.

Other schools collect stock for Acorns’ shops. We’ll supply some brightly coloured stock bags that everyone can take home and fill with good quality items like clothes, books, CDs, toys and videos.

Once you have collected the bags, Acorns will pick them up from your school and distribute them to our chain of shops.
