Training

Acorns offers staff a range of training and development opportunities from practical and clinical sessions within the hospices to attendance on academic specialist courses.

The managers across the hospices provide annual mandatory training for Fire Regulations, Moving and Handling and Health and Safety.  At Acorns we also have a  Head of Learning and Development who co-ordinates an additional range of courses working closely with the specialists across Acorns and, where appropriate, external trainers.
