Acorns Business Club Event with special guest Ian Henery

Exclusively for Acorns Business Club Members, join us on Tuesday 21st June for our next event!

Ian Henery will share his fascinating experience of working with Saint Mother Teresa in an array of environments including the slums of Calcutta, the local orphanages and the Leper Colony. At this event Ian will be discussing the skills and knowledge he has gained through these unique experiences and how they have helped to shape his view and guide him in the running of his own successful law firm.

How will my donation make a difference?

Over 12 months, a donation of £10 per month could fund a relaxing and therapeutic hydrotherapy session for a child like Jack.

“We are extremely fortunate to be able to access the hydrotherapy pool at Acorns for the Three Counties. The hydro pool helps Jack’s muscles relax. He has spastic legs which cause him a lot of discomfort so being in the pool really helps with pain relief. It’s just like a giant bath – Jack loves it.

“We don’t know what we’d do without this facility. It’s beneficial for the whole family, not just Jack. Jack has two younger siblings who are just starting to learn to swim and the hydro pool has really helped bring them on. As a mum of three children, Jack’s condition means I am unable to take all of my children swimming at the same time. But we can with the hydrotherapy pool and the help of staff at Acorns.

This is valuable family time and a great activity which all three children love.”

Acorns Benevolent Networking Breakfast

Hosted by Acorns Business Ambassadors, we are delighted to welcome you to Acorns Benevolent Breakfast. Enjoy a tantalising cooked meal with unlimited chai or coffee whilst networking with business professionals from across the region.

Each ticket costs £15 and £5 from each will be donated to support Acorns vital care services. £5 is enough to fund meals for a family member from our hospice kitchens for a day.

This event will be held quarterly with the next event being held on Tuesday 19th July 2022.
