If you’re unable to maintain this pace\, but wish to continue\, you’ll need to move onto the pavement for safety reasons. Our team will support you to the Finish Line. \nPlease note that the St James’s Park Finish Line will close at 23:59:59 on Sunday 26 April. If you fall behind the eight‑hour pace\, our team may carry out occasional manual bib scans. This simply helps us to keep track of your progress and location once some of the timing equipment begins to be packed away.
