Have you ever wanted to climb Mount Everest?
Do you like the sound of reaching 8,848m above sea level, the highest point on Earth, at an altitude where humans are not designed to survive and where aeroplanes cruise?
That sounds very dangerous, expensive and difficult to do in line with social distancing… but we have a solution – a big challenge for 2021.
Can you climb the equivalent of Mount Everest in under 12 weeks?
How it works
Whether on your stairs, or during your daily walk, you can take up to 12 weeks to complete the challenge, so it is designed to fit perfectly around any lifestyle and most abilities.
- Cost. £12, payable to Elite Adventures. This covers your entry, dedicated event support by the Elite Adventures team and a finishers medal!
- Set your fundraising target. We suggest a fundraising target of £50 (but you can of course set your own target)
- Fundraising support. Everyone signing up and setting up a fundraising page will be sent a fundraising pack, a t-shirt and will receive bespoke fundraising support from our Acorns Events team.
The difference your money makes
Your fundraising will go directly to supporting our vital children’s hospice care. Each year over 780 local children and their families rely on our support and in turn we rely on people like you to fund our services.
£35 could pay for an hour of one to one nursing care for a child at end of life.
£50 could help us stay in close communication with families through these uncertain times, remaining a lifeline on the end of the phone
£100 could pay for a family to stay overnight at Acorns when their child needs emergency hospice care
