Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you collect from?

Our furniture collection is available for areas within a 10 mile radius of each of our superstores. If you are not within this radius or have any questions, please contact furniture@acorns.org.uk.

Does my item need a fire label?

All items will need to have relevant safety marks or fire labels attached in order to meet fire safety standards. For full information on what items we can or cannot accept, please see our donations page.

Please note that if the item is not suitable for sale by Acorns Children’s Hospice they will be declined by our van drivers at the point of collection.

Can I Gift Aid my item?

When you drop off your donated items at your local Acorns shop you’ll be asked if you want to Gift Aid them. To sign up to Gift Aid, you’ll just need to complete a quick and easy Gift Aid form and you’ll receive a unique Gift Aid Donor ID. When you next donate items you’ll just need to let us know your Gift Aid Donor ID.
