Support Acorns

Claim back on tax

You can claim back corporation tax that has already been paid on your donated goods.

Reduce disposal costs

Donating unwanted stock can help reduce the cost and environmental impact of disposing your items.

Frequently Asked Questions

Corporate donations FAQs

Find answers to some of the most common questions about donating goods through your workplace. If you need any further information, our team will be happy to help.

What items can you accept?

We accept a wide range of items that are in good condition for us to sell in our shops. For full information on items we frequently accept, and items we cannot accept, please see our donations page.

Do items need to be new?

No. We welcome preloved goods as long as they are in a good, saleable condition.

Can you collect donations?

Yes. If you are looking to hold a donation day where employees will be donating preloved goods in bulk, Acorns are able to come and collect.

How do workplace donation days work?

Simply let your employees know to bring in any clean, undamaged goods that they are looking to get rid of at home. It's a great way to clear out space and support Acorns. Please contact us to find out more or book your collection.

What items can't be accepted?

We cannot accept any broken or damaged items, or furniture without a fire label at Acorns, as we would have to pay to dispose of the items. For full information on items we cannot accept, please see our donations page.

Who should I contact before donating?

Please email FurnitureCollection@acorns.org.uk to discuss your corporate donations and arrange any collections.
