Join us on this unforgettable trek. Towering over the sandy plains of Tanzania, stands Mount Kilimanjaro - the worlds tallest free-standing mountain. This breathtaking trek will guide you up the tranquil Machame route where you will trek through the deep forest, home to specatular wildlife, stretching up to moorland and onwards towards glaciers before reach the Uhuru Peak. This will be one of the most challenging and rewaring experiences of you life; be part of this truly magnificent journey.
Day 1 – Depart London for Tanzania
Day 2 – Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will make your way to the hotel for your overnight stay. Here you will receive a briefing for the challenge ahead and have a chance to relax
Day 3 – Start of the trek to Machame Camp
Day 4 – Machame Camp to Shira Caves, walking upto 3,840m. Looking behind you reveals stunning views across the plains.
Day 5 – Leaving Shira Caves heading upto the Lava Tower at 4,600m. Heading into the Barranco valley where you will camp, set at 3,900m.
Day 6 – Barranco Camp to Karanga Valley
Day 7 – Karanga Valley to Barafu Camp set at 4,600m. This will give you the chance to take in Kailimanjaro's neighbouring peaks.
Day 8 – An early morning start heading upto Stella Point (5,750m), as the sun rises you are treated to more breathtaking views. From here you continue your trek to the Uhuru summit (5,895m) - The ROOF OF AFRICA! After the summit you will decend down to Millenium Camp (3,000m) and rest.
Day 9 – Millennium Camp to Hotel
Day 10 - Free Day - Relax in the hotel or take a trip into town before your journey back to London.
Day 11 - Arrive in London

You pay the registration fee to Skyline and then raise a minimum sponsorship for Acorns.
We will be invoiced the balance of your challenge, so 12 weeks before the event you will need to send in at least 80% of your minimum target. The remaining 20% must be sent within 4 weeks of completing the challenge.
