What could your fundraising money pay for?

The £50 that you raise for Acorns will dramatically help towards the care we provide for life limited and life threatened children and their families. It could pay towards:

  • An hours session for a child with a physiotherapist - Each hospice has a team of physiotherapists who can provide a range of treatments to children to help with pain management, mobility, breathing difficulties and other symptoms of their varied conditions
  • Around 30 minutes multisensory session - A one-on-one multisensory therapy session uses light, sound, touch and smell to either stimulate or relax a child, depending on their need.
  • An hours session of face-to face support from a family support worker - Each of Acorns families has a dedicated family team worker that is there for them 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They provide advice and support to the entire family or just an ear to listen or shoulder to cry on as well as ongoing support following the death of their child.

These are just a small selection of services we offer. For more information please visit our impact report page.
