We need your support now more than ever – use your gaming skills for good and fundraise to help us to keep providing our vital care for local children.
It’s never been easier to have fun and fundraise; whether you’re livestreaming, hosting a tournament or just playing with friends, online gaming is a great way to raise money for children’s hospice care.
No matter the platform, no matter the game, form the ultimate dream team or tackle the challenge alone. However you choose to take part, your gaming skills will help us continue to be there for local life limited children and their families.
On 21st August, HYPD hosted an exciting 24-hour live stream event in aid of Acorns. This special event, across Facebook and Twitch, brought the gaming community together in support of local children’s hospice care.
HYPD is an inclusive gaming brand that celebrates all abilities and genres of gameplay and they will be organising another event again soon – so watch this space!

No, you can choose whatever day and time works best for you – but remember to give yourself plenty of time in advance to promote it.
To ensure that our supporters are keeping safe online and looking after their wellbeing we ask that anyone setting up a stream or event is over the age of 16. You can still take part in age appropriate streams/events with parental consent if you are under 16.
Not at all, if you’d prefer to host a private gaming fundraiser between your friends and family that’s absolutely fine. Only stream online if you’re comfortable and happy to do so.
Of course! If you’re playing as a team simply nominate a team captain and we’ll send the downloadable assets and streaming manual to them.
It costs around £10 million a year to run our care services in our hospices and community, and we rely heavily on charity donations from the local community to fund the majority of these activities.
The money you raise will go towards helping Acorns Children’s Hospice create precious moments for local life limited children and their families.
In the past year, Acorns has cared for over 800 children and supported more than 1,000 families across the West Midlands, including those who are bereaved.
The charity’s care includes emergency and end of life care, short breaks and emotional and practical support – all of which is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child and family.
