Our experienced managers are offering the opportunity to gain experience by working alongside them in a variety of Head Office roles across our Fundraising, Marketing and Communications department.

It may well be that you are coming to the end of your course, have finished your exams, are currently searching for a permanent position or are looking to gain experience in the charity sector.

PR & Communications Intern

Reporting directly to the PR manager, this role will work with colleagues across the organisation, as well as supporters and volunteers, to deliver accurate and effective communications for Acorns Children’s Hospice, promoting awareness and generating income.

The role will assist with a range of duties such as press releases, photocalls, launches and liaising with journalists. It will also support marketing campaigns and both fundraising and care events, whilst helping maintain internal systems of monitoring and reporting. A degree or training in a relevant discipline, social writing ability and a basic understanding of PR is strongly desired, although not essential. Please email completed application form, along with your CV and a supporting statement to info@acorns.org.uk
