Acorns fundraising volunteers are an essential part of our Community Fundraising and Events teams and help us generate vital funds to support our care services. You might volunteer for a day at an Acorns event, regularly help out our community fundraising teams, attend a cheque presentation or even help to raise the profile of Acorns by visiting local groups and schools to talk about the work we do. Becoming a fundraising volunteer is both a rewarding experience and a great way to meet new people – so get in touch today!

We have roles right across Birmingham, the Black Country and the Three Counties that always require the help of volunteers:
Fundraising team volunteers
Volunteering with our community fundraising teams based at our hospices is a great way to support Acorns and help us generate vital funds. You’ll get involved in attending local events like bake sales, talking to supporters and raising the profile of Acorns.
Public collections
Volunteering for a public collection is a fantastic way to help us boost much needed donations. You’ll be holding a bucket, smiling and chatting to people while collecting donations for our hospices – simple, rewarding and a great way to meet people!
Events volunteer
Our Events team are always on the lookout for generous people to help with our events. This may be as a marshal, helping to set up, taking registrations or helping to pack away at the end – whatever your role, we couldn’t run so many successful events without your support.
Event speaker
Confident public speakers are needed to represent Acorns locally. We will provide you with all of the information you need to be able to talk about the care we provide to children, young people and families and help raise awareness of Acorns.
Collection tin coordinator
Looking after the collection tins in your local area – replacing full tins, keeping records and asking local businesses to have a tin will generate valuable donations for Acorns.
We are always looking for people to set up or join local fundraising groups to help raise awareness and vital funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Our fundraising groups can be found in Birmingham and across Warwickshire, the Black Country and the Three Counties. To find your local Acorns group and for details about setting up your own, visit our fundraising groups page.
