Acorns Fundraising Volunteers are an essential part of our Community Fundraising and Events teams and help us generate vital funds to support our care services.
Our roles are varied and we have all kinds of rewarding and fun opportunities available, such as volunteering for the day at an Acorns event, raising our profile by visiting local groups and schools or placing collection tins in your local area.
Volunteering with Acorns is so much more than giving time. Whatever your motivation, your contribution will make such a huge difference – so get in touch today!
The following volunteering roles are available across Birmingham, the Black Country, and the Three Counties:
Do you know your local area like the back of your hand? We are looking for volunteers to help us to distribute and service Acorns’ collection tins in their local community. You will help us by finding new locations to place tins, collecting funds from our existing tins, and keeping accurate records of your activity. A flexible role, suitable for a friendly and engaging person.
We are looking for confident public speakers to represent Acorns at an exciting range of local community events: meeting supporters, accepting donations on behalf of the charity and talking about the amazing work we do.
We will provide you with all the information and training you need to be able to talk about the care we provide to children, young people and families and help raise awareness of our cause. A highly rewarding and varied role offering great opportunities within the community.
Our Events team are always on the lookout for people to help at our Acorns events. Whether it’s manning a cheering point, helping to set up or pack away, taking registrations, running a tombola or guiding participants, event volunteers are key to making our events a success.
This is an exciting role where you can meet new and like-minded people, develop new skills and make a real difference.
