The T L C Lottery is a fun, easy and affordable way to support the vital work of not one, but Three Local Charities: Acorns Children’s Hospice, Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and Focus Birmingham – Keeping Fundraising Local!
Each entry costs just £1 per week, paid in advance by subscription only. For each £1 entry you take, a unique lottery number is randomly allocated, this number remains yours and will be entered into the draw every Friday for as long as you play the lottery. 53 guaranteed prizes are paid out every week including a top prize of £1,000 which is increased twice a year to £2,500 in our super draws.

In 2021 £258,074 was distributed to charity which equates to 46% of the total lottery proceeds received.

Worcestershire Hospices Lottery is your local lottery, offering you an excellent chance to help Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust, St Richard’s Hospice and Primrose Hospice to raise much needed funds, whilst at the same time providing you with an opportunity to win a cash prize of up to £1,000 each week, or our roll-over prize which can reach £3,000. Money raised will be used for the sole benefit of the hospices to contribute towards their day to day running costs.
There is a weekly prize fund of £1,700 and it costs £1 per week to play. You can pay by cheque, standing order, credit/debit card or we do have cash collectors in some areas.
When you join you are issued with a five digit unique number. Providing you have paid in advance of the draw, your number will be entered into the draw for the number of weeks you have paid. Winners are selected at random by the lottery computer. The draw takes place weekly. Take part sign up online or call 01564 825 047.
There is no need to claim; if you win one of the top prizes we will try and contact you by telephone. However, all the prizes are sent out automatically. The full list of winners is available from the lottery office. Top numbers are in the local press (space allowing).
In 2020, the likelihood of winning a prize was, on average, 1 in 175 in our regular weekly lotteries and 1 in 388 in our seasonal Bumper Draw. Players in our weekly lotteries and the seasonal Bumper Draw are also automatically entered into a weekly Rollover draw in which they could win up to £3,000. Our Rollover prize increases by £100 each week it isn’t won (when in 2020, the likelihood of winning was, on average, 1 in 500,523) and if it reaches £3,000, then one lucky player will be guaranteed to win that week (when the likelihood of winning reverts to the aforementioned weekly lottery and seasonal Bumper Draw averages).
In 2020, £515,032 was raised from ticket sales in our regular weekly lotteries and seasonal Bumper Draws, with 17.19% being spent on Prizes, 16.97% spent on Expenses and 65.84% used to fund the hospices’ care of patients and their families. This translated to a fantastic £339,111.27! (Based upon the Lottery Submissions made to the Gambling Commission during the 2020 calendar year).
