Let your love shine through and support local families by dedicating a Heart.

This summer we have launched Hannah’s Hearts Appeal to raise vital funds for local children and families like Hannah’s.

Acorns cared for 17-year-old Hannah in her final weeks and were able to create memories that her family could treasure forever. With your support we can help more families in their greatest time of need.

A white heart is a symbol of everlasting love and remembrance so is the perfect way to remember someone much loved and missed. For a suggested donation of £30 today, you will not only secure one of our beautiful handcrafted Heart sculptures as a beautiful lasting tribute but you will also be helping local families.

Having a Heart sculpture is both an opportunity to remember a loved one as well as owning a limited edition sculpture. Whether remembering a loved one or not, each Heart will help to support local families who need the specialist care we offer.

Join us at the Garden of Everlasting Love

Every Heart will be placed in our Garden of Everlasting Love with your special dedication message to your loved one to form a beautiful installation at Arley Arboretum.

Everyone who has dedicated a Heart will have the exclusive opportunity to visit the Garden of Everlasting Love and view our striking installation on Saturday 14th September. This will offer those remembering a special someone an opportunity to take a moment of reflection and thought.

Your Heart will be placed in this beautiful garden and will then be sent to you to display in your home or garden.

Hannah’s story

“Hannah loved life,” said mum Christine. “She was a happy, normal teenager.”

At 16 years old Hannah was diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a rare connective tissue disorder.

Hannah spent just 15 days at Acorns and was the ‘bravest person’ her mum has ever known.

“Acorns was amazing,” Christine said. “They allowed us as a family to be together during her final days. Hannah knew her fate and she was able to talk about it and she was very brave. She was totally remarkable, right up until the last moment.

The nurses helped Hannah make a hand cast in the shape of a heart, inspiring Hannah’s Hearts appeal.

Before she died, Hannah made mum Christine, dad Andrew and sister Charlotte promise to live their lives to the full.
