Make a donation to remember someone special

Many of the generous donations we receive are made in memory of a loved one. Gifts in memory are a very poignant way for you to remember someone special, while also directly supporting local children and young people with life limiting and life threatening conditions and their families.

How would you like to remember your loved one?

Funeral collections

Choosing to ask for a donation to support Acorns, instead of buying flowers for a funeral service, is a simple way you can help to make every day count for local children and their families and a meaningful way of honouring your loved one.

We can help to make this as simple as possible on the day by providing collection envelopes. These make it easy for friends and family to donate and include a Gift Aid option to make their gift worth even more for Acorns. Some families choose to have a collection tin as well. We will discuss your needs and wishes with you.

Once we have received the money from your collection, we will send a thank you letter and let you know how much has been raised in memory of your loved one.

You or your funeral director can order the envelopes by calling us on 01564 825037 or by emailing inmemory@acorns.org.uk, we’ll be happy to help and answer any questions you may have. To ensure your envelopes arrive before the service please give as much notice as possible.

“As a mother of nine and grandmother to 11, children’s charities were something very close to Jackie’s heart and Acorns was the obvious choice.”
