More families than ever are choosing Acorns care and support in their child’s final days.
The demand for end-of-life care at Acorns Children’s Hospice has significantly and unexpectedly increased by 47%. Families are also spending more time at our hospices, with the length of stays almost doubling on average. In the past year we have supported more than 400 bereaved family members.

At the end of a child’s life, help give parents the power of choice
We can only give families the power of choice when their child dies with your support. The power of choice allows them to say goodbye where they feel most comfortable.
One of the ways we can do this is with our special bedrooms. At the heart of our hospices, in these temperature-controlled rooms, a child can stay for around two weeks after death.
