Come out on 18th May for Aston Villa FC Women vs AFC Man City Women match at Villa Park, where Acorns is the chosen charity. Our amazing volunteers will be there collecting on the day so make sure to bring a pound to the ground.

How your donation helps

In the past year, Acorns has cared for 750 children and nearly 1,000 families across our region.

It costs £27,000 per day to provide our services and it is only with your support that we can be there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for children who need specialist nursing care. Your generous donation has the power to make an impact on someone’s life.

Join us for this thrilling match day and bring a pound to the ground in support of the Mayor of Walsall’s four chosen charities. Watch Mat Sadler, Walsall FC manager, and other all stars as they take on Cresswell Wanderers FC in a showdown you’ll definitely not want to miss.

The excitement kicks off at Poundland Bescott Stadium on 12th of May , with gates opening at 6:00pm and the match starting at 7:15pm. It’s an event for the whole family to enjoy, with plenty of fun and entertainment!

With the help of Special Forces, can you evade capture?

Immerse yourself in the world of a Special Forces Operator, liaise with undercover agents and remain covert as a fugitive ready to evade a hunter force whilst breaking codes, gathering clues and staying hidden in this one-day event!

Take to the streets of Birmingham and stay out of sight, keep your cover and travel around the city stealthily. You’ve seen them on TV – now take the challenge yourself.

How does it work?

Play the role of a fugitive guided by former military and special forces agents to reach an extraction point. Break codes, and gather clues to stay hidden. Can you memorise your cover story and deal with tactical questioning?

Thanks to our friends at Stoic Events we have three places for intrepid contenders to take on the challenge and outwit the hunters.

Stoic Events is owned and operated by former Special Air Service and UK Military veterans. This one-day event will give you a glimpse into special forces training and test your Mental wit and determination.

On the day

This exhilarating day consists of:

  • The initial brief from Directing Staff. Stay alert – this includes your cover story!
  • Set off individually or in your team.
  • Your first 1st stop will be to meet an agent and receive your code/clue.
  • Continue to various checkpoints to complete tasks or code-break. Are the hunters on your tail?
  • Break these codes and clues to find the extraction point. Keep your head down, you’re almost there!
  • If captured they will want to know why you’re behind enemy lines. Don’t forget your cover story.
  • Reach the extraction point to achieve your mission – YOU DID IT!

What to bring

  • Bring a backpack for lunch and drinks. You’re on the run so there’s no time to stop at the chippy!
  • Wear suitable clothing and all-terrain footwear.
  • Pack a warm/waterproof coat to cover all weather.

You don’t have to be super fit for this event, just not carrying any injuries. However, you MUST be healthy and able to attend the event. You will sign a declaration confirming this prior to the event. Remember – don’t get compromised!

Bubble Rush is even bigger and bubblier this year

Join us for a fantastic bubble-filled day and support local children and families.

Bubble Rush is a fun run with a difference – it’s not a race! Run, walk, jog, skip or toddle your way around our family-friendly course and take on four coloured bubble stations filled with foamy fun. The course is two laps, so you can have double the incredi-bubble fun!

Bubble Rush’s foamy run is suitable for the whole family – there’s no age limit and the course is pushchair and wheelchair friendly so everyone can take part in our bubbly activities!

There are two wave times for you to choose from. We ask that you arrive one hour prior to your wave time to check in and warm up before it starts.

How long is the course?

The course itself is approximately 2.5km long but you’ll do this twice for double the incredi-bubble fun! If just one lap suits your group, then that is also fine.

Do you have a bag drop?
