Lesley raises money in memory of her husband and son
“We’re really grateful to Lesley, who visited our Selly Oak hospice with a cheque for over £800. The money was raised from donations in memory of Lesley’s husband Peter, who passed away last year”
Lesley and Peter have been visiting Acorns twice a year for nearly 20 years to remember their son Richard who had muscular dystrophy and was cared for at the hospice until he died, aged just 19. Richard loved visiting Acorns and was well known by all the staff and volunteers.
The family were big football fans and Lesley and Peter even got married in their rival team kits on Richard’s 18th birthday!
