Inspirational fundraisers like Ali have been pushing themselves to the limit so children’s hospices aren’t pushed to theirs

Acorns charity shop manager Ali Jones set her sights high with her tough challenge for Acorns – cycling an iconic mound near her hometown 50 times in one day.
Ali, who is the manager at Acorns shop in Tamworth, took on the challenge to help fund our work and mark a milestone birthday.
The Tamworth mum pedalled to victory after cycling up the unforgiving Pooley Mound, which is known for its steep, spiralled incline, an incredible 50 times on her 50th birthday raising an amazing £1,000.
She said: “It was absolutely amazing. I got to the top and circled the mound monument three times and then just picked my bike up and shouted!”
