We are delighted to be returning as the Official Charity Partner for the Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run 2026!

Join #TeamAcorns for the 2026 Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run taking place in the 37 acres of parkland in Wythall Park, providing beautiful scenic views for your run!

There is so much to get involved in from a 5k race to the 10k, not forgetting the Paula Radcliffe’s Families on Track fitness challenge too. This challenge is perfect for 5 – 15 year olds, with an accompanying adult. Bring the whole family, your friends or just yourself with a target time!

This year’s Fun Run is open to all, with Sight Concern Worcestershire providing event support to ensure the terrain is accessible and guide runners are available if required.

By joining #TeamAcorns you’ll be raising vital funds to support life limited and life threatened babies, children, and young people across the West Midlands.

Registrations have now closed for Run Solihull 2025!

We are delighted to have so many fantastic runners joining us on Sunday 10th August for a great community event. If you are super keen to join us, please drop our Events team an email to discuss your options or register your interest in joining #TeamAcorns in 2026.

We are delighted to be returning as the Official Charity Partner for Run Solihull 2025!

Join #TeamAcorns in our third year as the charity partner for Run Solihull Half Marathon and 5k, and join thousands of your fellow runners in chasing down a personal best along closed roads. There is also a fun filled event village open, with live performances, bag storage, charity stalls, food and drink vendors and plenty of toilets to use before you head off onto the course!

Starting and finishing in Malvern Park, in Solihull Town Centre, this is a unique opportunity to run a 5k or half marathon around the closed roads of Solihull.

There is also a Junior race!

You can make this a fun day out for the entire family with the addition of the wheelchair accessible Junior race!

Glow Walk 2025 – cancelled

Acorns statement on the cancellation of Glow Walk 2025

It is with a heavy heart that we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Glow Walk. Unfortunately, the event hasn’t had the same level of uptake as in previous years and, if we were to continue, we would be running it at a loss.

Every event we hold plays a vital role in helping us raise the £13 million we need each year to provide our specialist care for children and support for their families. They are at the heart of all our decisions – but we must make sure our fundraising is sustainable, cost-effective and continues to offer experiences that inspire and excite our supporters.

Making choices like this is never easy, but it’s essential to ensure we can be there for those who need us most, today and in the future.

We know this will be disappointing news for those who have already signed up, and we are truly grateful for your support and enthusiasm. All tickets will be fully refunded.

But this isn’t goodbye – Glow Walk will return, bigger and brighter than ever in 2026. Register your interest for our 2026 event now to be the first to hear when tickets open.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Together, we’re making sure families caring for seriously ill children are never alone.

Refund process

All participants will receive a full refund for their registration.
