Run the race of a lifetime as part of our TCS London Marathon 2027 team. Cross the famous finish line on the Mall and know that your efforts are helping children with short lives across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire. Please note, the minimum fundraising target is £2,600 for charity place runners.

We’re excited to offer a limited number of #TeamAcorns charity places in the TCS London Marathon 2027. These places come with a minimum fundraising commitment of £2,600, helping us raise vital funds for local children and families.
Applications are now open – before starting your application please take a moment to read all the information on the form.
Take on the most famous 26.2 miles in the world for so much more than a medal:
- For the smile on a child’s face when they get a clinically supported stay at Acorns.
- For the moment they can finally move their limbs thanks to the warming waters of our hydrotherapy pool.

How will we support you?
- Dedicated support from our specialist Events team, including a dedicated point of contact to support you throughout your entire journey.
- Free access to the Coopah app, including a personalised training plan that adapts to you – helping you stay on track, avoid injury and reach the start line feeling strong.
- Access to our TCS London Marathon 2027 community on WhatsApp and online meet and greet sessions – to share tips, ask questions and learn from others.
- A personalised Acorns running vest with your name.
- An Acorns water bottle to help you during those months of training!
- Access to a wide variety of fundraising ideas, materials and resources.
- Opportunities for PR support to share your story.
- Cheer squad materials for your friends and family.
- On the day cheer squad support to motivate you as you tackle the 26.2 miles!
Accessibility
The London Marathon welcomes the use of standard wheelchairs and race runners in the mass participation event.
You can use:
- Standard day chairs with a max width of 95cm and length of 2.20m – you can use a front wheel attachment.
- Race Runners – but the London Marathon Events team needs to know if you wish to use one of these.
- Crutches, frames or walkers that are not motorised or geared.
Cut-off time
You have eight hours to finish the marathon. If you’re unable to maintain this pace, but wish to continue, you’ll need to move onto the pavement for safety reasons. Our team will support you to the Finish Line.
Please note that the St James’s Park Finish Line will close at 23:59:59 on Sunday 26 April. If you fall behind the eight‑hour pace, our team may carry out occasional manual bib scans. This simply helps us to keep track of your progress and location once some of the timing equipment begins to be packed away. Thanks for your understanding, and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!

If you are visually impaired or your disability or medical condition means you need a Support Runner, you can apply for a free place for them. Please contact the London Marathon Events team outlining your request and the reasons for it.
Why Acorns needs your support
Acorns is here to support families at every stage of their child’s life and beyond, with over 800 children and over 1,100 families supported each year. But there are hundreds more children who need our support.
By pledging to raise £2,600, you could support a specialist working with a family for up to two years – building their resilience, improving wellbeing and helping them care for their child with confidence.
