When a family feels alone, will you help us reduce their isolation?

Care in a hospice can be an incredible support for so many families. But did you know that Acorns also changes lives by visiting family homes and going into local communities?

Our care and support extend beyond the doors of just our hospices. Every year Acorns provides over 1,000 hours of lifeline care for children and their families across our region. But the need is greater than ever and growing year over year. There are thousands more children and families in urgent need of support.

“There is literally no one else…”

Laila has cerebral palsy and is blind. When not receiving attention, she can cause herself pain – and for mum Liga, the thought of leaving Laila alone for even a second was unthinkable.

Acorns Outreach team was able to provide the whole family with lifeline support in ways that worked for them.

“We couldn’t be without Acorns. There is literally no-one else, in all the community, that can offer this kind of support, not just for me, but for my partner, my son and Laila.” – Liga, Laila’s mum.

Help can’t wait for children like Laila. Please donate today.
