Our Vision, Their Future – Strategy 2026-2029

Our Vision, Their Future is Acorns strategy for 2026-2029, setting out how we will grow, evolve and strengthen the care and support we provide.

At its heart, it is about reaching more children with life limiting and life threatening conditions, supporting families earlier and more consistently, and ensuring every moment of care is as personal and impactful as possible.

For our supporters, partners and donors, it means strengthening their trust, so they can invest with even greater confidence in the care we provide. It is about showing clear impact and how their contributions directly support children and families. It also reflects our commitment to bold, ambitious ways of growing support, building belief in Acorns and encouraging more people to be part of what we do.

For children and families, it means more equitable access to specialist, high-quality care – when and where they need it most. It is about creating a more seamless, joined up experience across services, working closely with the NHS and other healthcare partners so families feel supported at every step and never fall through the cracks. It also means playing a leading role across the children’s palliative care sector, amplifying families’ voices in national conversations so their lived experiences are not only heard but actively shape policy and deliver meaningful, lasting change.

For our people, it means recognising that everyone plays a part in making our care possible. It is about investing in skills, strengthening collaboration and building a culture where people thrive and all roles feel informed, connected and able to contribute to delivering the very best care.

Together, Our Vision, Their Future ensures Acorns remains a leading, compassionate and sustainable organisation that can provide outstanding specialist care to every child and their family who needs us now and in the future.
