Volunteer in a shop

At Acorns our volunteers help us be stronger together. Volunteers can gain work experience, learn new skills and meet new people, all whilst making a big difference to local children and families.

Acorns volunteers are vital in helping to operate Acorns charity shops and raise funds for our care. We are always looking for new volunteers to join us and help out with the day-to-day running of our local charity shops.

Charity Shop Gift Card

Looking for the perfect gift for a charity shop enthusiast? Acorns charity shops sell and accept the Charity Shop Gift Card, the first multi-retailer gift card that can be used exclusively in charity shops.

The cards are recyclable and compostable and can also be purchased at, and through retailers such as Sainsbury’s, Asda, Boots and WHSmith for use in Acorns shops.

Whether you’re visiting our hospice charity shops to donate furniture, volunteer, hunt for a bargain or just to say hello, your support is invaluable to life limited and life threatened children throughout Birmingham, the Black Country, the Three Counties and the West Midlands as a whole.
