How fit do I need to be to take part?
Parachutists need a reasonable standard of physical fitness and there are minimum fitness requirements. All participants must be physically fit, fully self-mobile with a full range of mobility and able to lift their knees to their chest unaided.
I have a health condition or disability. Can I still take part?
Unfortunately, if you have a condition or disability which reduces your mobility, you won’t be able to skydive. What should I wear?
Wear loose, comfortable, non-restricting clothing suitable for the season and flat shoes or trainers on your feet that won’t fall off in freefall. Don’t wear boots or jeans.
Goggles will be supplied that fit over glasses and contact lenses.
Can I have my parachute jump videoed?
Absolutely! You won’t want to miss a minute of your fantastic adventure and a video is a great way of reliving the memories. A video service is provided for Tandem jumps by Skydive Tilstock. Please contact them directly on 01948 841111 in advance of your jump to book this.
When should I arrive and when do I actually jump?
You will be given an arrival time which you should check in by. It’s very important that you arrive on time.
After you have completed the essential paperwork, a Tandem Instructor will spend about 20 minutes giving you your training session. If you are late, it could have a knock-on effect by extending the scheduled jump time and the Tandem Instructor has a very tight schedule that includes briefing, jumping and packing his parachute for the next jump.
Other factors that could potentially affect the scheduled jump time include, change in weather, coordinating a videographer, the plane and numerous other things.
