Peter Morgan took his passion and turned it into a fundraiser when he started an annual fishing competition in his local village. The winners are pictured here, and the day, including a raffle raised a wonderful £530 for Acorns. Peter has inspired others in his village to support Acorns, including his local social club who raised £122.56 from a collection tin on their bar.
Anda Moore makes beautiful crocheted items. Recently, with the help of her local Acorns Fundraiser Rowan, she ran a stall at Pershore Open Gardens selling a selection of crocheted baskets, and raised a fantastic £155 for Acorns. She enjoyed the experience so much that she’s running another stall at a craft fair in October.
Simone’s daughter Maebh comes to Acorns for respite care. After attending a charity ball, Simone was motivated to give back to Acorns by organising a black tie ball of her own. Held at Walsall Football Club, 100 of her family, friends, colleagues and teachers from Maebh’s school came together for a night of fun, fundraising and raising awareness of Acorns.
