Light up the night at Acorns Glow Walk!
We’ve given our annual Glow Walk event the ultimate ‘glow up’ for 2025 with a new glowing trail, lantern making in our Event Village and lasers across the lake.
So, for one night only, grab your glow sticks, UV face-paint and fairy lights and light up the night with us!
Take on the light themed quest around the Arboretum lake, finding clues as you go. Can you figure out the answer and claim your prize?
But how will you find your way? Come along to the Event Village to create your very own lantern to take on the walk.
This is the perfect evening for the whole family – there’s no age limit and the route is pushchair and wheelchair friendly so everyone can take part! Throughout the evening there will also be a range of fun activities for all ages to enjoy.

What to expect
Join us from 5.30pm and get yourself ready for our first Glow Quest. Glow wild and enjoy a boogie, make your own lantern in our craft area, have your face painted or take a spin on the tombola.
Back by popular demand, our glow-tastic robot dancer will be lighting the way as you get ready for the walk!
Solve the clues to complete the quest and claim your prize. There might even be a medal at the end!
Want to shine even brighter? Grab your glow wands, sticks, balloons and other accessories to complete your look at our merchandise stall.
Enjoy the magic of our spectacular laser display across the lake as we light up the night in style.
Grab a bite to eat at one of our food and drink vendors. There will be lots to choose from, including hot chocolate and other treats.
For the first time at Glow Walk, we are delighted to be hosting our brightest light competition. There will be multiple categories including the Brightest Glow-getter and a Wheelie Bright category for the brightest pushchair or wheelchair. Get your thinking caps on for how you can dress the brightest for Glow Walk 2025!

How is the event different this year?
After gathering feedback from previous event participants, this year’s route has been condensed to the paths around the lake and by the Visitor Centre.
The route might be shorter, but there is even more to do with a Glow Quest to complete, lanterns to make and activities to get involved with.

Do I need to fundraise for this event?
Your ticket price covers the cost of bringing this magical event to life – so every pound you raise in sponsorship goes directly towards helping Acorns provide specialist care for children with life limiting and life threatening conditions, and vital support for their families.
We’re simply asking each participant to take on the challenge of raising just £10 – and we’re here to help you get started with easy-to-use fundraising materials. Let’s see what you can achieve!

When will my T-shirt arrive?
We’ll send out your t shirt with your glow-tastic pack from the middle of September, so you can be event ready.
Where is the event taking place and where can I park?
Glow Walk is taking place by the Visitor Centre on the North corner of Walsall Arboretum, Walsall, WS1 2QB

As we are further away from the Grange Car Park this year, we advise that you either park in designated parking bays along the street around the Arborteum or find alternative car parks such as:
- Walhouse Road Long Stay Car Park
- Bate Street Long Stay Car park
If you wish to park in the Grange Car Park, we advise that you walk on the pavement along Broadway North

Do you have a bag drop?
There will be no bag drop available on the day. We advise that any large items that you don’t wish to carry with you, are left in your vehicle or with a spectator who is planning on staying in the Event Village. Personal items such as phones and wallets should be kept on you.
