Run the race of a lifetime as part of our TCS London Marathon 2027 team. Cross the famous finish line on the Mall and know that your efforts are helping children with short lives across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire. Please note, the minimum fundraising target is £2,600 for charity place runners.

We’re excited to offer a limited number of #TeamAcorns charity places in the TCS London Marathon 2027 on Sunday 25^th April*. These places come with a minimum fundraising commitment of £2,600, helping us raise vital funds for local children and families.

Join the team with your own place

If you were lucky enough to get a place through the official ballot, a running club or another avenue, we’d love for you to join #TeamAcorns.

You can make each step you take on race day, mean more for children with short lives.

Take on the most famous 26.2 miles in the world for so much more than a medal:

• For the smile on a child’s face when they get a clinically supported stay at Acorns.
• For the moment they can finally move their limbs thanks to the warming waters of our hydrotherapy pool.
• For the relief of being free from pain, thanks to the expert care of our nurses.

Accessibility

The London Marathon welcomes the use of standard wheelchairs and race runners in the mass participation event.
You can use:

• Standard day chairs with a max width of 95cm and length of 2.20m – you can use a front wheel attachment.
• Race Runners – but the London Marathon Events team needs to know if you wish to use one of these.
• Crutches, frames or walkers that are not motorised or geared.

Cut-off time

You have eight hours to finish the marathon. If you’re unable to maintain this pace, but wish to continue, you’ll need to move onto the pavement for safety reasons. Our team will support you to the Finish Line.

Please note that the St James’s Park Finish Line will close at 23:59:59 on Sunday 26 April. If you fall behind the eight‑hour pace, our team may carry out occasional manual bib scans. This simply helps us to keep track of your progress and location once some of the timing equipment begins to be packed away. Thanks for your understanding, and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!

Join #TeamAcorns at the TCS London Marathon 2026!

The TCS London Marathon is one of the most well-known races in the world and you have the opportunity to take on this huge challenge and to support Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Hundreds of thousands of spectators line the streets creating an incredible atmosphere. You will pass some of London’s most iconic landmarks and be joined by over 56,000 runners attempting the 26.2 mile distance.

Public ballot is now closed

The TCS London Marathon 2026 is a hugely popular event with most runners successfully gaining a place through the public ballot. If you’re lucky enough to have secured a place, we’d love to hear from you and have you run as part of #TeamAcorns.
