Complementary therapies are offered (as appropriate) to children, young people, and family members in the hospice.

We offer a range of therapies delivered by trained and accredited therapists, which can help improve both physical and emotional health in children and family members by:

  • Alleviating symptoms such as pain, nausea, anxiety, depression, and fatigue
  • Relaxing the mind and body
  • Relieving tension and stress
  • Enhancing general well being

Each hospice has a dedicated complementary therapies room with specialist equipment designed to provide a safe and relaxing environment. The therapies that we are able to offer will vary with the availability of therapists.

If you are a complementary therapist and would like to volunteer your time, please get in touch by email on volunteer@acorns.org.uk.
